 ABOUT BEAR CARE

Thank you for your interest in Holy Family School's after-school, extended care program. It is the goal of Bear Care to provide Holy Family students with full-service aftercare which includes homework time, nutritious meals, along with fun and educational activities.  Here are a few highlights of our program: 

Bear Care implements the same standards of conduct as school. Writeups and suspensions will be enforced. 

Students in Pre-K4 – 8th grade may attend Bear Care beginning their first day of school. You should notify your child’s homeroom teacher that they are a Bear Care student and should be sent to Bear Care each afternoon. Registration is required for each child and is not part of your normal school registration. Students are NOT accepted unless they are a registered Bear Care student.

BEAR CARE IS FULL TIME OR PART TIME ONLY. THERE IS NO DAILY RATE FOR BEAR CARE.  Exceptions will only be made in the case of emergency, or if a student misses the bus, or if a student is not picked up at carpool.  The student will then be sent to Bear Care and you will be billed for a daily rate.

PRE-K AND KINDERGARTEN LITTLE BEAR CARE
The Little Bear Care room for the Pre-K 4 and Kindergarten students is located across the street from school at the corner of N. Jefferson and Florida Ave.  Students in this age group may be signed out in the Little Bear Care room before 4:30pm.  After 4:30pm,  any remaining Baby Bear Care students will be brought to the cafeteria with the 1st-8th grade students.

1ST–8TH GRADE BEAR CARE
If your child is a 1st-8th grader they will assemble after school in the cafeteria for snack and will immediately begin homework. After all homework is complete and checked, students will be given several opportunities for structured outside play or indoor games and activities. Your child’s sign out sheet for these age groups will be located inside the cafeteria.

TUITION POLICIES

Tuition rates are listed below. All Bear Care tuition is due THE FIRST DAY OF BEAR CARE. Tuition is due each month on the 1st of each and every month and there is a $50.00 late fee for any tuition paid after the 10th of each month.  Students who owe tuition after the 15th of each month will NOT be allowed to return to Bear Care until all past due tuition is paid.

BEAR CARE TUITION 2024-2025
Registration Fee – $75.00 per student (Due on August 15th)
Full Time (3 or more days/week) – $180.00 per month/ per child. December is $80.00 due to the Christmas break
Part Time (1-2 days/week) – $100.00 per month/per child
Emergency Drop-In Rate – $30.00 (due at pick-up)
Tuition is Due as follows:

     September 1st
     October 1st 
     November 1st
     December 1st 
     January 1st
     February 1st
     March 1st
     April 1st
     May 1st - is not a reduced price
